Ghost-Writer by Managua Gunn : shinrin-yoku. 'forest bathing,'

Here are a couple from Basho, in the Forest theme.
won't you come and see
loneliness? Just one leaf
from the kiri tree
Cedar umbrellas, off
to Mount Yoshimo for
the cherry blossoms
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
in stages
sweet blood for the flies
ivy and other poisons
keep forests at bay
perhaps one day, happily
in the forest I shall bathe
strengthening myself
for future adventures with
the fae, doe and deer

    Always a chill to bathe in a forest stream so refreshing. The one part I dont enjoy is the poison oaks and ivys :{

    Ah - the poison ivy is a terror this year, with all the rain! But it's a pleasure to think of having adventures with the deer and the fae! :)
