A Cascade, a poetic form using line repetition
Preserved Life?
willfully wanton water cascades
exhausted in a heap river rafters sleep
journeys of liquid roads, do not exhaust the toads
up before dawn, gear sorted on the lawn
bound to and adventure, the die is cast
willfully wanton water cascades
rapidly sanity, whatever remained
along with everything salvaged over rapids -
exhausted in a heap river rafters sleep
at rivers edge they tie their knots
soulfully singing lullabies to the weary travelers
journeys of liquid roads, do not exhaust the toads
