CD : distillation 9

poetic distillation of
‘Do not go gentle into that good night’
by Dylan Thomas, 1914 - 1953

spirited?

full of sighs; last breath
words unspoken, harsh action;
yet graced with long life

into the dark night
perhaps with little regret -
she did die alone

though we visited
saw those last sparks fading fast -
longing for the end

  1. What a strong emotions you share here in your distilled haiku Jules ... that last one is just ... beautiful and full of affection for the one who died. Thank you ...
