For Miz Quickly: Fitting In?

Using the poem you wrote yesterday, changing as little as possible, place the focus on that other person. (series 2)
Fitting In?

She goes to the edge...
of her window
sometimes to the upper screened porch
or the fenced in portion of her yard

It is always a fine balance...
being the unmarried daughter
who was living with the ageing parents
who are not around anymore to clear the
debris and detritus
Living day to day with nature...
there is just too darned much of it
maybe condo living would be nice
but the nieces and nephews
do help to maintain the pool
And the neighbors...
visiting on the weekends
helping to relieve the loneliness
that even the long time friends cannot fulfil
that is the bitter pill that can’t be swallowed
so with pride held
as high as it can be
we end up only extending common courtesies

so different.... yet so similar
are all in..... and on our own
trying to live....... a peaceful
coexistence ~~~~~ and yet
we still, put up,.. our fences
and our defences......... - so
close... yet...so... far... apart
we are... square pegs fitting
in or on.... the circle of earth
