justice?
the ride
away from peace
puzzle pieces, forever lost
goodbye...

One Tin Solider Rides Away or The Legend of Billy Jack
Notes: I had my grandson over most of the week and it just dawned on my last night that I missed this prompt. So I am here now. I will be using this for my Month of Goodbyes over at my small verse site tomorrow - as it fits the theme. I vaguely remember this movie. I don't remember any of the musical history or controversy of the band. I do remember the protests over the war then - but I was to young to really understand. And even now that I am older and there have been wars to replace more wars...I still don't understand why peace cannot be achieved. Which reminds me of another song..."People say that I'm a dreamer...."

The other song you mention is John Lennon's 'Imagine'. And I came to the same conclusion as you did. The more I listened to this song, the more I heard myself walking around asking 'Why?' Your goodbye at the end, hit hard. I didn't like it. I understood it deeply, but I didn't like it. I think that's a good thing.
