rain creates mud path
I pause, kaeru splash dances
frog feet make patterns
haiku for pilgrims to read
and interpret, life lessons
frog feet make patterns
natural calligraphy

Also is a lucky symbol and related to travelers

    What a joy to read this post with kaeru, the frog, he is for sure a nice companion on your pilgrimage along the 88 temples of Shikoku. Thank you for sharing your joy on this journey in which we return to the roots of haiku and learn about Buddhism.
