CD 397 Shozanji Temple 12

chants end brings quiet
my eyes open, the flower
only holds white petals

heaviness weighs in my heart
where has kaeru bounded to?

white petals held hope -
frog hops on my foot, looks up
expecting calm care

relief cools and fills my heart
kaeru teaches emptiness

is temporary
but necessary for growth -
quietly I chant

kaeru = frog, return in Japanese

Also is a lucky symbol and related to travelers
