CD 442 Ghost Writer: Ese: A haibun: Pluck and All That

a haibun:
Pluck and All That

Different partners, similar yet not unique ailments, hatching tender plans for unwrapping their taunt hurts... explaining the dissecting microscopic surgeries, wishing to be waited on hand and foot. Having no shame in their lame meaningless words spilling into the fatness of the crowded room. Who will feed them almonds and marshmallows while they pine in their recovery? Homing in on the unseen clenched earlobes of a rattled listener.

fighting to keep the
toothpicks in their mouths, the men
do not color; gals blush

Their jovial aura sends ripples of laughter snaking throughout the room.
Rooted embryonic twitters become full blown jagged laughter at the sap they spill. As one imagines her stockings in disarray, him with a borrowed emerald fig leaf placed just so... an odd lemon of a snapshot for the record books!

Slow as a turtle
on a coastal beach; music
of their song settles

When the clock strikes the hour. The meeting beings. We all rise attentively in unison like sensual lovers to pledge our allegiance. There is no hazy moon blocking our sight, we offer clear dedication, volunteering to give our full attentions matters at hand.

birds of the night hoot
the assembled become rapt
as business unfolds
