CD 433 Temple 87 and Bonus: Flighty

rainy March morning
cantankerous coven: crows;
murder dawns’ breaking

kaeru loves their tympany
as if bullfrogs sang love songs

tourists without maps
ravens travel noisily
while I sip my tea

Today I drew inspiration for Chèvrefeuille’s post from
the weather (rainy), and my daily morning piece.
I thought you might enjoy seeing the short verse I
extracted my renga from.

Flighty

The coven of crows cantankerously cawed
the dawn of the last Saturday of March awake,
way too early they murdered the chances of
anyone who was attempting to sleep in!

Circling the sky, briefly landing in the maple,
arguing directions like group of tourists without
a map; they didn’t even stop for breakfast at the
bird feeder - perhaps they already had coffee?

Note:
kaeru = frog, return in Japanese
Also is a lucky symbol and related to travelers
kaeru is my companion guide on this journey

We are both ...female :)
