Meiseki-ji (temple 43)


more stone steps, more chants
comfort the mass of kaeru
reality weighs

empty cups and bowls fill us
with temporary strength; go

reality weighs
nothing - gravity pulls us
as ocean waves rock

the salt of sand may vanish
in lakes and rivers, pure springs

as ocean waves rock
the moon still tugs; seasons shift
more to learn from nought

Note:
kaeru = frog, return in Japanese
Also is a lucky symbol and related to travelers
kaeru is my companion guide on this journey
