Joan Miro’s Lunar Bird

Bully for You!

Mrs. Shufflebottom loved museums

Though she was often confused by

Modern artists.

She rather liked the information panels

and prefered them on the walls at the height

of her eyes.

Nonetheless she would make the effort

however read the description of what the

artist rendered.

The Lunar Bird had a silent giggle as

Mrs. Shufflebottom, well shuffled with

her bifocals.

Ever alert the museum guard sensed

an opportunity - one he could not resist -

snapped away.

What’s Your Sign?

Mikey T. Kidd didn’t know too much about anything yet,

being twelve that was just fine and dandy - school trips

were fun.

He clearly remembered the day he had decided on his career.

He really did liked the odd sculpture by Max Ernst that was

called “Capricorn”

But he knew right then and there that he was going to study

hard and become a dentist - a fun dentist for children only -

Yes indeed!

The sort of mermaids head and the odd stuff on the bulls lap

and the giant toothbrush in the bull’s hand looked like tools on  

the postcard...

That postcard was the first thing Dr. Kidd  framed and put up

in his office - And everyday it reminded to make the day fun

for everyone.

Guard

Life Imitates Art

Maurice Bitterman liked working outdoors

but not too fond of getting his hands dirty or

pulling cotton.

Getting dressed in a uniform was good even

if it meant long sleeves, trousers and wearing

a tie.

Folks from all over came to visit the large

outdoor sculptures - Most days he heard

foreign tongues.

T’weren’t really no mind though as with pointing

to maps and lots of smiling he could head ‘em

just right.

Being on the same job for nearly thirty odd years

they didn’t mind when it weren’t busy and he’s set

a spell.
