winter daydream time glass challenge 14 ‘winter’

winter daydream               time glass challenge 14 ‘winter’

icicles melting
hanging at the window there,
sparkling magic

just waiting for magicians
or other magical folk

to pick the right wand
of crystal to cast a spell
on the winters’ day

growing longer; refreezing
as the sun reaches apex

winter birds gather
at the feeder - bundled fae
skate on frozen ponds

then he comes in keen disguise
mystic stag looking so pleased

as the ice cracks and
wind blows a large icicle
safely to his feet

I see him transform, pointing
his wand “blink”; he vanishes

Note:
At one point I had twelve verses... But I was able to trim it down ;)
When all is quiet and nothing moves with snow covering the ground -
it can be winter wonderland of magic...

This week I love to challenge you all a bit more to write a short chained poem with a maximum of eight stanza following the classical rules (5-7-5; 7-7; 5-7-5; 7-7; 5-7-5; 7-7; 5-7-5; 7-7) and your last stanza (classically called "ageku") has to close the chain by associating on the first stanza. Of course you don't need to use the classical syllables count, but that's up to you.

So you have to write a chained poem (Renga) of maximum eight (8) stanza inspired on the image and the prompt WINTER WONDERLAND within 24 hours.
