After a certain age there is a shift toward more reflective type thinking, and purple is the color of power (especially self-power)and should always be worn with the pride of survival. Lol, I really like this one Jules,

After a certain age, external concerns give way and let one's inner beauty shine through. Your poem reminds me of Jenny Joseph's poem "Warning": "When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple with a red hat that doesn't go ..." Thank you for this lovely and insightful piece :)
