Just Karma 30

Grand Dreams

watching
her sleeping
sweet child napping
dreaming of chipmunks and
butterflies

still slightly agitated by your
assumptions, demands and non-response,
I tossed,  turned and churned
most of last night away

butterflies,
their transformation -
they’re not ‘chimpmucks’
that’s her pronunciation; I
laugh

live and learn through
a child’s eyes if you get the chance
- she is but one of my
dreams come true

you
can keep
your own flighty
dreams because I’m keeping
mine

    Calm clarity seems so simple but is often hard to find..if only we could stop and try...insightful and in many ways an optimistic piece

      Glad you found the optimism. I'm trying - 'fam-damily' and all that.
      Some days distance is a good thing concerning distant family :)
