CD 424: Unpen-ji (temple 66)

kaeru sees wonders
she could only imagine
I too am in awe

looking at the orchid that
wants to attract its next meal

I too am in awe
yet all things even Buddha
needs life sustenance

can one be angry - nature
plays by a different set

needs life sustenance
without emotional grief
perhaps without love

(c) JP/davh

Note:
kaeru = frog, return in Japanese
Also is a lucky symbol and related to travelers
kaeru is my companion guide on this journey

CD 421 Hoju-ji (Temple 62)

frog accepts water
from many holy fountains,
drinks from my wet palm

contented kaeru returns
to my pocket, closing eyes

drinks from my wet palm
of soothing compassionate
dreams; frog accepts sleep

CD 420 Temple 60

resting, empting
thoughts before we two enter
the quiet temple

kaeru and I gaze into
each others jewel-like eyes

the quiet temple
resonates, illuminates;
wisdom of Buddha

CD Quote: 'life'

a renga: ‘life’

eve visions replay
wanting to see the daylight
some recognition

just a little credit for
the art that you place in view

painted with a brush
sculpted with symbols that mean
you lived, are alive

CD 419 Senju-ji Temple 58

trying to focus
the stationary wheel now
spinning before me

dreamscape kaeru transforms, glows;
compassionately reaches

slows the spin to stop
embraces me, gives me hope
allowing focus
