Looking for Regulus

(three 3,5,3 haiku series)

Cold silver

Slowly setting; moon

In the east

Followed by

Jupiter - where is

brave Leo

Around nine

I will look for that

Set of stars

March Mirth

(three 3,5,3 haiku series)

celebrate

the first day of spring

daffodils

swaying leaves

in March winds’ cool breath

might be snow...

to weigh down

lace petals that bow

to the sun

our library

(three 3,5,3 haiku series)

she leads me;

new discovery

round the bend

little Miss

enjoys puzzles at

a table

together;

before and after

gave both grandchildren

to my care

enough time

to serve both dinner

after the rain

(three 3,5,3 haiku series)

bubbles land

on the drive and grass;

stay awhile

girl stomping

with glee; watching as

soap spheres float

pink wand by

her lips, she too puffs

happily

(three 3,5,3 haiku series)

nippy air

we stayed in all day

happy play

following

a simple routine;

lunch then nap

adjusting

to daylight savings;

spring ahead
