kaeru from the ground
looks up; has eyes for alone
for her guardian

a warrior of simple
words; taming chants; a *prayer

for her guardian
scribes haiku forms devoted
to their pilgrimage

~~~
*pray-er; one who prays
two syllables :)
CD 421 Hoju-ji (Temple 62)
frog accepts water
from many holy fountains,
drinks from my wet palm
contented kaeru returns
to my pocket, closing eyes
drinks from my wet palm
of soothing compassionate
dreams; frog accepts sleep
CD 420 Temple 60
resting, empting
thoughts before we two enter
the quiet temple
kaeru and I gaze into
each others jewel-like eyes
the quiet temple
resonates, illuminates;
wisdom of Buddha
(c) JP/davh 3.11.14 for 3.13.14
Note:
kaeru = frog, return in Japanese
Also is a lucky symbol and related to travelers
kaeru is my companion guide on this journey
We are both ...female :)
CD Quote: 'life'
a renga: ‘life’
eve visions replay
wanting to see the daylight
some recognition
just a little credit for
the art that you place in view
painted with a brush
sculpted with symbols that mean
you lived, are alive
CD 419 Senju-ji Temple 58
trying to focus
the stationary wheel now
spinning before me
dreamscape kaeru transforms, glows;
compassionately reaches
slows the spin to stop
embraces me, gives me hope
allowing focus
CD 418 Taisan-ji Temple 52
I attempt stillness
chant; Om mani padme hum
my jewel vibrates
kaeru resonates in tune
magnifies my desires
my jewel vibrates
my invisible soul is
by the Buddha seen
CD 417 Ishite-ji Temple 51
at Stone Hand Temple
kaeru hops onto my lap
I inspect features
each bump I have come to see;
recognizing myself there
I inspect features
contemplate silence, whisper
thanksgiving for us
reaching these destinations
each one a success to pass
thanksgiving for us
taking a smooth stone from her
webbed foot; Buddha sighs
